Walk ’n Fork Catering
This style of catering is a fantastic choice for weddings, creating a lively, relaxed atmosphere where guests can mingle, celebrate, and enjoy great food throughout the event.
A Walk ’n Fork menu allows the bride and groom to spend more time with their guests rather than being tied to a formal seated dinner. Service begins with a selection of delicious canapés, followed by a pause for speeches and cake cutting, before transitioning into substantial fork food served in fun, handheld vessels.
Combining the ease of cocktail-style service with the satisfaction of a main meal, Walk ’n Fork offers the perfect balance of casual comfort and gourmet flavour. Guests can enjoy a variety of beautifully presented dishes while moving freely and soaking up the celebration.
Menus can also be tailored to accommodate dietary requirements, ensuring every guest feels included and well catered for.
Will there be enough food?
Absolutely. We typically recommend 6–8 canapés per guest (depending on your timeline), followed by three substantial fork food dishes and a sweet treat to finish. Designed with generous portions and variety in mind, this format ensures guests leave happy, satisfied, and well fed.

Whats great about walk n fork
Some of the reasons people like it:
More social interaction — guests aren't fixed to one table for hours. People move around, talk to different groups, and mingle naturally.
Variety of food — guests can try , small dishes, sliders, bowls, and desserts,
Casual atmosphere — it feels less formal and often suits celebrations
Flexible venues — because people aren't tied to assigned seating, guests are free to roam can use outdoor spaces, especially if you have garden games .
Dietary options are easier — offering many small dishes makes it simpler to cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary requirements.
Potentially lower cost and logistics — fewer tables, less formal service, and sometimes less equipment and staffing than a full sit-down dinner.
The downside is that some people prefer a traditional seated meal, especially older guests or anyone who wants a guaranteed seat and a more relaxed dining pace we recommend some table available for those who would like to sit
